Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This includes functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The role ensures the efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to shipment, serving a variety of internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, and state/local authorities; adherence to cGMP guidelines.
- Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks; learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution, typically involving regular review of output by a work lead or supervisor.
- Follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders, including accurate picking, performing quality control checks, and sorting.
- Performs housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean work environment and complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
- Performs other duties and/or participates in projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Demonstrates working knowledge or proficiency in one or more assigned areas of responsibility; may require material handling equipment certification.
- Accurately performs multiple operational tasks assigned to the individual.
- Demonstrates basic material handling, packaging, and warehouse equipment skills.
- Performs one or more warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility.
- Demonstrates effective oral communication skills.
- Ability to consistently lift 40 lbs and bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
- Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
- Willingness to work late with little or no advance notice.
- Willingness to work in a refrigerated environment (36°F–42°F) for the full shift.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
- Radiofrequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Note: Training schedule may differ).
Pay
Anticipated hourly range: $20.00–$20.60 per hour based on experience (includes $1 shift differential). Bonus eligible.
