About the Role
Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. The primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service while acting as a representative of Regal in alignment with our mission statement and policies.
Responsibilities
- Ticketing
- Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons with accuracy.
- Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, 4DX).
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Respond to phone calls and guest questions in line with guest service philosophy.
- Concession
- Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons, as well as concession stock inventory.
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment.
- Upsell and suggestively sell concession items.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
- Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
- Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable. If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, you must be of legal age according to state or local laws.
- Usher
- Scan tickets and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats.
- Enforce the MPAA rating system.
- Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent film/content theft, and maintain a safe environment.
- Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management.
- Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
- Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby areas, hallways, and other theatre areas.
- Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
- Handle emergency situations when called upon.
- Perform general cleaning duties and comply with the company dress code.
- Required to read and understand training materials covering subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion, is required.
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, completion of any legally required state or local training and certification is mandatory, along with Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.

- Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
