Job Description

The Early College Academy program at Aims Community College is a partnership with Greeley School District 6. The Early College Academy program gives high school students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while subsequently earning an Associate of Arts degree.

Job Duties

  • Conducts individual in-person and remote tutoring sessions for related school work.
  • Approaches tutoring with a learner-centered focus to increase students’ confidence and success.
  • Has strong oral and written skills.
  • Communicates with tutoring supervisor to ensure effective tutoring methodologies.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of tutoring sessions.
  • Guides students on how to develop active and independent learning skills.
  • Adapts strategies for specific learning differences.
  • Attends and participates in regular one-on-one and group training sessions.
  • Stays up to date on current trends in tutoring practices.
  • Has experience working with a diversity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the tutoring supervisor.
  • Adheres to student and staff policies as determined by Early College Academy

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or certification in a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Taught experience in related content area.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to tutor in multiple subjects.

Pay

  • Minimum Hourly Rate: $28.81
  • Part-time employees also receive some benefits depending on the number of hours worked.

Schedule

  • Work Hours: 10-15 hours per week

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field or certification in related area, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Taught experience in related content area.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.
