Part-Time Truck Driver/Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Drives (Class A CDL rated) trucks in the delivery and pick-up of equipment and materials for assigned shows.
• Assists in the loading and unloading of showsite equipment and materials.
• Assists in the carpet and/or furniture departments, as needed.
• Assists in the receiving and delivery of show freight, as needed.
• Performs miscellaneous equipment inspections and maintenance, as needed.
• Relies on personal knowledge and experience in operation of trucks and in completing job functions.
• Must be available for travel and overnight stays as required (up to 20%).
• Must be available to work variable shifts, nights, weekends, and extended hours if necessary.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL driver's license.
• Maintain a good driving record.
• 3 years of driving experience.
• Tradeshow industry experience a plus, but not required.
• Must join the Carpenter's Union.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Able to interface with internal staff, outside vendors, clients, facility security, etc.

Work Environment

• Required to perform work on loading docks, the tradeshow floor, in noisy and crowded areas, as well as in a warehouse setting.
• Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere.
• Requires working with union and non-union employees.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Must be able to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.
• Previous experience with ELD and app-based reporting a plus, but not required.

Pay

$34/hr. The pay range and actual offers are based on a variety of individualized factors including skills, qualifications, experience, location, and role-specific competencies.
