Part-Time Security Guard

The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) governs 40 post-secondary educational institutions across Tennessee, including 13 community colleges and 27 colleges of applied technology. Columbia State Community College is part of this system.

• Columbia State Community College seeks qualified individuals to join its part-time Security Guard pool.
• Security Guards support campus safety operations by monitoring facilities, patrolling grounds, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency procedures.
• Duties may vary based on departmental needs, including monitoring campus facilities, patrolling grounds, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency procedures.
• Positions are temporary and based on immediate needs of the college.
• Weekly hours will vary by assignment but will not exceed 29 hours per week.

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license
• The ability to communicate effectively and respond calmly in emergency situations
• Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required
