Part-Time Teller | Yale

About the Role

The Teller plays a vital role in the customer banking experience and serves as the face of ChoiceOne Bank. In this position, you will provide world-class customer service by handling transactions accurately and efficiently while identifying opportunities to grow the bank and introduce customers to additional services.

Responsibilities

• Perform and follow the Bank’s policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
• Operate teller window in accordance with bank policy, balancing daily.
• Meet and exceed teller sale and referral goals.
• Process cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately, efficiently, and with confidentiality.
• Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technology.
• Develop relationships with clients and ensure customers’ awareness of services offered; recognize needs and make referrals to bankers.
• Perform miscellaneous duties, including night deposits, ATM balancing and service, re-ordering and stocking supplies, and answering phones.
• Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and all federal and state banking regulations; complete required reports and report violations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, including group presentation abilities.
• Strong technical skills with a commitment to continuous learning and sharing expertise.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to quality in work.
• Ability to meet productivity standards, manage competing demands, and adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality; flexibility and dependability in following schedules and instructions.
• Takes initiative, seeks self-development opportunities, and responds to management direction.
