About the role

The role of Teller at Santander involves engaging with customers to assist with various financial needs and processing transactions. This position requires exceptional customer service, the ability to identify and escalate risks, and the use of digital tools to enhance customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and minimizing wait times
• Processing deposits, withdrawals, and transfers
• Maintaining accurate cash drawer balances
• Adhering to bank policies and procedures to prevent fraud
• Cross-selling bank products to deepen customer relationships
• Leveraging digital tools to educate customers on self-service options
• Assisting with custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Supporting nearby branch locations as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 6+ months of cash handling experience
• 6+ months of demonstrated customer service experience
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others
• Ability to identify and escalate concerns of risk to appropriate channels
• Able to follow directions, policies, and procedures
• Effective listening and communication skills
• Comfortable using digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement
• Energetic, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail
• Computer proficiency and basic math skills
• Able to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings

What You Bring

• Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education
• Preferred experience in Microsoft Office products

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $30,000.00 USD to $47,000.00 USD annually. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Schedule

Branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
