About the role
The Teller position at Cornerstone Capital Bancorp, Inc. is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of lobby and drive-thru transactions for bank customers. This includes processing routine financial transactions, receiving checks and cash for deposits, assisting with other financial institution services, and maintaining the teller station.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions
- Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records
- Counts checks and packages coins and currency
- Affixes cashier’s checks and gift cards
- Promotes and explains other financial institution services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, and cashier’s checks
- Affixes postage to outgoing mail, directs incoming faxes and mail, and answers phones
- Performs fraud review for mobile check deposits
- Assists in other daily teller tasks such as balancing cash drawer, balancing bank products at end of day, and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor/management
- Follows established processes and guidelines in daily activities and adheres to all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in banking or financial services a plus
