Part-Time Teller

About the Role

Provides service to bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform paying and receiving transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Meet teller balancing standards monthly as stated in the Teller Over & Short Policy.
• Deliver excellent service to all customers.
• Perform additional duties within the banking center to assist fellow co-workers.
• Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
• Cash checks and pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enter customer transactions into the computer to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Explain, promote, or sell products or services such as traveler’s checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks.
• Remove deposits from, count, and balance cash in automated teller machines and night depositories.
• Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Follow Red River Bank policies and procedures.
• Attend or complete all required training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
