About the Role
As a Teller with us, you’ll be the friendly face that our customers look forward to seeing. You’ll handle financial transactions with precision, provide top-notch service, and assist customers in achieving their financial goals. Your day will be filled with diverse responsibilities, from processing deposits and withdrawals to promoting our range of innovative banking products and services.
Responsibilities
- Greet all bank customers as they enter the branch in a courteous and professional manner.
- Operate a teller window to process a variety of transactions within established guidelines, such as processing individual and commercial deposits, savings and checking transactions, cash advances, loan payments, credit card payments, and other transactions.
- Enter customers' transactions into the computer to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Assist customers with questions regarding their accounts; place holds on accounts as appropriate.
- Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash; balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer and compare totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
- Participate in maintaining good customer relations by giving courteous, efficient service and developing new business by acquainting non-customers with bank services and presenting current customers with additional services.
- Identify and respond to cross-sale opportunities by referring customers to the appropriate bank personnel.
- Record customer interactions in the bank's CRM platform.
Requirements

- Strong communication skills for explaining banking products and resolving customer concerns.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to embrace digital platforms and guide customers through customer-facing technology.

- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training in cash handling or customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbally).
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, with an ability to quickly learn other bank-related programs.

Pay
$16.00 per hour with a $500 bonus after 6 months of employment at INB.
