About the Role
To provide exceptional, high-quality service and direct the delivery of products/services through sales efforts via face-to-face and drive-thru interactions. The ideal candidate is a team player with a can-do attitude, high integrity, and excellent interpersonal and member service skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, money orders, disbursements, and check cashing.
- Explain, promote, and cross-sell the Credit Union’s products and services.
- Understand and communicate Credit Union policies and procedures to members.
- Balance cash drawer, coin, currency, and checks against source documents and Episys totals at the end of each shift.
- Cash checks and disburse funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds.
- Accept deposits and confirm transaction accuracy.
- Evaluate checks for endorsements, dates, identification, and legality to determine hold requirements.
- Maintain a secure work area for negotiables and confidential records.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures and proficiently use the Symitar system.
- Load and unload cash recyclers and ATMs.
- Respond to member requests, problems, and complaints, directing them to the appropriate person when needed.
- Provide professional, friendly, and accurate service to all members, adhering to teller standards.
- Answer phone calls to support excellent member service.
- Deliver SPARK! member service with strong verbal and written communication skills, finding solutions to difficult problems.
- Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Military Lending Act, Office of Foreign Asset Controls, FCRA, Graham-Leach-Bliley, and applicable lending regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED equivalency, or higher.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to adhere to internal policies and external regulations set by the NCUA.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft products.
- Adaptability to change and commitment to SPARK! service standards.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Consultative sales experience is a plus.

- Ability to calculate figures (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to define problems and seek solutions for members.
- Must be bondable and pass internal annual compliance testing.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 35+ pounds, including coin bags.
- Standing is required for the majority of the shift.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate and professional.
