Part Time Technician I/Mechanic

About the Role

This is a part-time position in the Fleet Services Department performing skilled repair and maintenance of light and heavy automotive equipment with gasoline or diesel engines, including cars, trucks, tractors, and construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repair and maintenance on a variety of automotive equipment.
• Operate highly complex machines and equipment.
• Use specialized or advanced software programs related to automotive maintenance and repair.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable.
• ASE certification requirements:
  • E-1: Must receive or possess at least one category of ASE certification within the first year of employment.
  • E-3: Must obtain or possess ASE certification in 5 categories.
  • E-5: Must obtain or possess ASE certification in 7 categories.
• Commercial driver’s license preferred.
• This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol screening.

Pay

Starting salary: $16.6281 per hour.
