Part-Time Teacher

About the role

LearnWell is seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Louis Park, MN on a part-time basis year round. This unique position will involve working in a residential eating disorder facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• Active Minnesota teaching license
• Comfortable working with 7th–12th grade students
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
• Reliable transportation

Schedule

Year-round, 20-hour per week commitment, Monday–Friday, 10am–2pm.

Class size

Most class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.
