Part-Time Tailor I Embroidery

About the role

We are seeking a Tailor who shares our values of originality and integrity, empathy for customers and co-workers, and courage to lead with our values. You will support the leadership team to success by executing basic and technical alteration services, resolving consumer concerns, and educating store teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute basic alteration services such as hemming, patching, repairing, tapering, and more technical alterations like fitting and tailoring items other than jeans.
• Resolve tailor-related consumer concerns in line with company policy and consumer satisfaction.
• Partner with store management on elevated consumer issues and educate store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.
• Support training of other Tailors within the district or region on Tailor processes and Levi's Tailoring standards.
• Suggest looks that incorporate the latest trends and current promotions based on consumer needs, promoting the Levi's omnichannel experience.
• Efficiently handle cash and Tailor Shop-related merchandise operations in compliance with store policy.

Requirements

• A thorough understanding of the denim industry and current/upcoming trends.
• Proven skills in sewing, tailoring, and textile repair.
• Strong communication skills both internally and externally.
• Fashion-savvy and interested in current trends.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach overhead, and climb ladders.
• Has reliable transportation.
• Must be 16 years old.
• Minimum of 3 years' sewing/tailoring experience, strong knowledge of jeans construction, and thorough knowledge of denim products.
• Formal training in apparel design preferred but not required.
