Responsibilities
- Support, supervise, and serve as a positive role model for residents
- Assist with medication monitoring and administration per program policies
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks
- Help residents develop daily living skills and achieve treatment goals
- Respond effectively to emergencies and crises
- Transport residents to appointments and community resources
- Collect urine samples and administer breathalyzer tests as needed
- Participate in staff meetings and complete required training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in human services, behavioral health, or substance use recovery preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional boundaries
- Compassion, patience, and respect are essential
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record required
DHS 83 training is preferred or can be completed post-hire. Local travel may be needed (approximately 25–50%).
