Part Time Substitute Youth Staff- South Bay

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended-day enrichment programs, serving over 35,000 students across 17 states. Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver the dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character‑building that expands school‑day learning in a meaningful way
• Using coursework training and in‑person training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well‑being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Ability to meet state‑specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with negative TB test (from a physician)

Qualifications

• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field (preferred, not required)

Pay

$19‑$22/hour (dependent on education & experience)

Schedule

Monday‑Friday 6:30 am to 8:00 am & 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm ***ON CALL***
