Part Time Youth Staff- South Bay

Right At School has been providing safe, fun, and meaningful extended-day enrichment programs for more than a decade, serving more than 35,000 students in 17 states. Our after-school, before-school, and break camp programs give students a place to learn, play, grow, and most importantly—a place to be a kid! Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school-day learning in a meaningful way
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
• Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
• Works well in a team environment
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a related field (preferred but not required)
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician)

Pay

$20 - $22/hour (dependent on education & experience)

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 8:00 am & 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (no weekends)
