Part Time Substitute Educator - Mayfield City Schools

About the role

Substitute Educator Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Drive the mission by reviewing goals and updates, sharing ideas, discussing professional progress, encouraging collaboration, and promoting team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities, preparing activities and curriculum that align with program objectives and are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring the environment and addressing potential hazards.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Have outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Have at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Be flexible to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR vaccination.
• Age 18 or older.
• High School diploma or GED.

Pay

$15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6:30am to 8:30am AND 2:20pm to 6:00pm.
