Part Time Childcare Substitute Educator - Bethel School District

About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
• Communicate Effectively: Work with a diverse audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
• Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexibility: Be available to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Education: Proof of High School diploma or GED required.
• Background Check: Background check with fingerprinting required.
• State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• Health Certificates: First Aid and CPR training, Tuberculosis test, Food Handlers card, MMR vaccine.

Pay

$18-20/hr (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Program hours are as follows: 6:30am-9:25am & 3:00pm-6pm Monday-Friday
