Part-Time Student - Factory Engineering - East Moline,IL

About the role

The Part-Time Student Program at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL is designed to augment regular full‑time staff, allowing students to work year‑round alongside their studies. The position is onsite, relocation assistance is not provided, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Support CMM Programming Activities in a Production and Product Development Environment.
• Support Dimensional Analysis Activities relative to CMM Program Output.
• Support Troubleshooting with CMM software programs relative to coding and technical needs of CMM Machines.
• Support process and program improvement initiatives.
• Support Quality Services Processes and Project Improvement Initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be registered as a full‑time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
• Available to work 10‑20 hours per week during the academic year and 30‑40 hours per week during the summer semester.
• Must be able to commute daily to East Moline, IL year‑round.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Software Programming, or Computer Science (other disciplines may apply).

Skills
