About the role

This is a part-time student position in Accounting Operations at John Deere Financial Worldwide Headquarters in Johnston, IA. The role is onsite and not available to students on immigration visas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly accounting close activities, including account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparation and review of journal entries, reports, and supporting schedules.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to help automate and streamline accounting processes.
• Collaborate with Accounting Operations team members on projects related to controls, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Utilize data analytics and reporting tools.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (others may apply).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Must be in sophomore, junior, or senior status.
• Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
• Available to work during the academic year: 16-20 hours weekly.
• Available to work during the summer semester: 35-40 hours weekly.
• Must be able to commute to the work location in Johnston, IA year-round (relocation assistance is not provided).
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
