Part-Time Spanish Teacher

Academica West (AW) is seeking a Part-Time Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year. This role will be based in various schools within the Salt Lake area.

About the role

The Spanish Teacher will provide instruction to students in a variety of settings, ensuring they meet academic standards and develop language skills. They will also assist in curriculum development and teacher training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish language classes to students in grades K-12
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
• Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide language programs
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching methods and materials
• Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to improve student learning outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Spanish
• Valid teaching license in Utah
• Experience teaching Spanish at the secondary level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish
• Ability to teach English as a Second Language (ESL)
• Knowledge of Utah’s educational standards and policies

Skills

• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
