Job Summary

The Part-Time Spanish Teacher at St. Ann Catholic School is responsible for providing high-quality Spanish language instruction to elementary students in a faith-based learning environment. The teacher promotes language acquisition, cultural awareness, and appreciation while supporting the school’s Catholic mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Spanish language instruction focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Incorporate cultural lessons that enhance students’ understanding of Spanish-speaking countries and traditions
  • Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with school and diocesan expectations
  • Absess student progress and provide feedback to support language development
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to reinforce cross-curricular learning
  • Maintain classroom organization and effective behavior management
  • Communicate with parents and school leadership as needed regarding student progress
  • Participate in faculty meetings and school activities as appropriate for a part-time role

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related field
  • Teaching experience preferred, especially at the elementary level
  • Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

  • Experience teaching in a Catholic or faith-based school setting
  • Ability to engage young learners through interactive and creative instruction
