About the role
The social worker is responsible for providing complex social services to patients and their families from admission through discharge, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
- Degree in social work (degree level dependent on licensure requirements)
- Experience Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Social Worker
- Experience Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Case Manager
- Experience Preferred: 2 years of counseling experience
- Certification/Licensure: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) with at least two years of social work experience (required)
- Must be current in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 90 days)
- SAFE Level III Training Course completion (required within six months)
