Part-Time Social Worker

About the role

The social worker provides complex social services to patients and their families from admission to discharge, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs
• Developing care plans
• Offering counseling and resource linkage

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Degree in social work (dependent on licensure requirements)
• Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Social Worker
• Preferred: 1 year as Healthcare/Medical Case Manager
• Preferred: 2 years of counseling
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) with at least two years of social work experience, must be current in Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within ninety (90) days of start date
• SAFE Level III Training Course completion, required within six (6) months of start date
