Part Time Sleep Technologist

About the role

Established and rapidly growing healthcare practice in San Antonio, Texas seeks a Polysomnographic Technologist to join its team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and titration polysomnography
• Initiate and monitor PAP therapy
• Perform multiple sleep latency tests
• Perform maintenance of wakefulness tests
• Perform home sleep apnea tests

Requirements

• Credentialing by Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist: Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT), Certified Polysomnography Technologist (CPSGT)
• American Board of Sleep Medicine: Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
• National Board of Respiratory Care: Certified Respiratory Therapist-Sleep Disorders Specialist (CRT-SDS), Registered Respiratory Therapist – Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS)
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR or BCLS certification

Skills

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, coordinate and implement patient care
• Communicate effectively with the Medical Director, referring physician, other sleep technologists and technicians, and administrative staff
• Ensure continuity of care for the patient so that the patient's medical needs are met
