We are looking for experienced, self-determined, and highly motivated SIU Field Investigators to join our team in deterring and combating insurance fraud. Several work-from-home, part-time, and full-time hourly positions are available. This hybrid role requires travel within the advertised city and state.

About the role

VRC seeks qualified candidates to conduct multi-line insurance investigations into suspected fraud or irregularities. Responsibilities include obtaining in-person interviews, identifying and preserving evidence, and documenting findings in clear, concise reports. The role involves investigating auto, property, Workers’ Compensation, and liability claims, often coordinating with law enforcement or state fraud bureaus for compliance and criminal prosecutions.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate multiple insurance lines of business for potential fraud
  • Conduct phone or in-person recorded statements with insureds, claimants, and witnesses
  • Provide daily updates on current files
  • Conduct scene investigations and obtain investigative photographs
  • Maintain and report investigative expenses
  • Complete detailed and accurate investigative reports

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Private Investigator / SIU Investigator
    • Claims Adjuster
    • Law Enforcement
    • Military Police / CID
    • Other related investigative fields
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze information, develop logical questions, and accurately report findings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong time management and customer service focus
  • Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver’s license (MVR required)
  • Current Private Investigator license may be required in some states
  • Must pass a drug test and pre-employment testing

Pay

Investigators are paid a competitive hourly wage on a bi-weekly basis.
