Responsibilities
- Aid in managing Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas.
- Communicate proactively with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to address immediate needs.
- Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates.
- Return unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock.
- Support Customer Service with shoe return processing and returning items to the sales floor.
- Maintain organized product displays to ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Engage warmly with customers, fostering a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain a smooth workflow to reduce customer wait times.
- Perform tasks independently and collaboratively with the team.
- Communicate effectively through both oral and written means.
- Show attention to detail and adhere to organizational standards.
- Present a professional image and maintain a positive team dynamic.
- Follow Scheels policies and procedures.
- Be willing to undertake additional tasks as directed by leadership and merchandisers.
Requirements
- Treat co-workers, customers, and business partners with respect and courtesy.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months of sales experience.
- Display a genuine interest in learning and applying new knowledge.
- Adapt to a changing work environment and demonstrate teachability.
- Meet Scheels’ dress and grooming expectations.
- Operate with physical demands suitable for heavy work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
