Full Time Shoe Runner Associate

Responsibilities

  • Aid in managing Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas.
  • Communicate proactively with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to address immediate needs.
  • Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates.
  • Return unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock.
  • Support Customer Service with shoe return processing and returning items to the sales floor.
  • Maintain product organization to reduce clutter and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers, fostering a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a smooth service flow to minimize customer wait times.
  • Be organized, multi-tasks, and manage all aspects of the Shoe Runner role.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly using strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Show attention to detail and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Contribute positively to a team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership and merchandisers.
  • Lead work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Apply basic understanding of math, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Meet Scheels' dress and grooming expectations.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months of sales experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
