Part Time Shelter Coordinator/Floater

Job Duties

• Supports and coordinates with other staff in the delivery of appropriate housing stability and support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
• Maintains the safety and wellbeing of program participants.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the facility.
• Supports team members by serving as a resource for analyzing and solving problems.
• Manages the milieu and addresses any program participant conflicts immediately to de-escalate.
• Assists in the training and supervision of volunteers during shifts worked.
• Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensures that the program participants’ voices are heard.
• Possesses an in-depth knowledge regarding program requirements.
• Develops specialized knowledge related to service delivery database systems within the organization.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information.
• Maintains physical and emotional safety of all program participants.
• Supports team members by serving as a resource for analyzing and solving problems.
• Oversees and participates in general program facility maintenance.
• Aids in the training of junior personnel.

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

• Ability to be single staffed while in the facility.
• Ability to quickly and safely go up and down stairs.
• Lifting occasionally up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related area or the equivalent experience in human services.
• One-year direct human service experience (on top of degree or human services experience equivalency).
• Complete program credentialing process, to include criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire and fingerprinting.
• Must possess a Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
• Must possess a personal vehicle that may be used for work-related travel.
