About the role

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is the leading provider of industrial refrigeration and process cooling solutions, delivering custom engineered systems utilizing natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂. The Part-Time Service Technician will support industrial refrigeration equipment for customers across food and beverage, cold storage, pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, and mission-critical infrastructure markets.

This integrated model provides employees the opportunity to support projects throughout the complete lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing, installation, startup, operation, optimization, modernization, and long-term system support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine daily, weekly, and monthly mechanical integrity inspections at client facilities.
  • Regularly report inspection findings to the Service Manager.
  • Accurately input inspection results into the system using a computer.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • HVAC tech school preferred.
  • Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain.
  • Company is a tobacco-free workplace; no tobacco products allowed during the workday on the job site(s).
  • Pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record screening required.
  • Excellent physical condition; ability to climb ladders and perform occasional heavy lifting.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift.

Schedule

This part-time role requires one 4-hour shift per week between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM. The schedule is flexible and can be easily worked around another job.

Pay

$25–$30/hour, dependent on experience.
