Part-Time Security Staff

As a Gatekeeper, you will be the first point of contact for every homeowner, board member, resident, guest, and vendor. The Gatekeeper ensures the highest possible level of service is offered to all incoming residents and guests.

Schedule

• Wednesdays 3pm-11pm
• Sundays 7am-3pm

Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Understand and react to emergency situations and operate electronic gate control systems.
• Provide exceptional service to all residents and guests.
• Greet and welcome residents and guests, and direct them to their destination if assistance is needed.
• Comply with all safety regulations.
• Follow all policies and procedures established by the association for the gate house.
• Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
• Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct.
• Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
• Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in an upright, standing, or sitting position for long periods of time.
• Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property as required to meet job functions.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on gate staffing requirements.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (cold, heat, rain, snow, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures.
• Full range of mobility in upper and lower body; ability to reach overhead.
• Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays.
• Must remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under stressful circumstances.
• Must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.
• Must be able to work effectively in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations.
• Finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
• Capable of communicating both on the phone and in person.
• Capable of working indoors in a controlled climate and outdoors with variable climate and lighting.
• Mentally alert, detail-oriented, with good reasoning skills.

Pay

$18/hour
