Responsibilities

• Monitor all areas of the campus for safety, security, facilities, and traffic concerns.
• Assist and direct teams, parents, and visitors with schedule and event locations.
• Address and report suspicious, unusual activity or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor door access controls, video camera system, fire detection systems, and security alarm systems.
• Collect lost or misplaced items and place them in the appropriate Lost and Found.
• Assist with special events and athletic game setups.
• All other duties as needed or directed.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of prior experience as an emergency first responder.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to immediately respond to and act during emergency incidents and security concerns.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 2 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to recognize drug and alcohol abuse.
• Ability to communicate through a portable radio.
• Must have a valid driver’s license & a clean driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
• Must be willing to be a part of a “team” environment and work toward communicated goals.
• SRO Certification recommended but not required.
