Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays.
- Pack all components and sub-components for all cases, boxes, and displays according to corporate process and meeting standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and condition for all outbound cases, boxes, and displays.
- Process returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper packing during book fairs.
- Demonstrate basic scanner proficiency for item inquiries and replenishment.
- Participate in seasonal inventory production-line resets.
- Perform Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, including Quality Assurance scanning.
- Conduct Physical Inventory functions, including counting inventory.
- Assist in Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events.
- Handle merchandise carefully at all times.
- Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects.
- Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards.
- Operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
- Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment) with minimal errors.
- Strong team player and good interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English.
Physical Demands
- Able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
- Able to push wheeled cases weighing in excess of 300 lbs with an initial force of up to 50 lbs and a sustained force of up to 30 lbs.
- Able to stand, reach, squat, bend, and kneel as necessary to perform the job.
- Able to tolerate work in a non-air conditioned environment.
- Able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
