Part-Time Seasonal Warehouse Associate, 1st Shift - Columbia, SC - $17.00

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays.
• Pack all components and sub-components for all cases, boxes, and displays according to corporate process and meeting standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and condition for all outbound cases, boxes, and displays.
• Process returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure proper packing during book fairs.
• Demonstrate basic scanner proficiency for item inquiries and replenishment.
• Participate in seasonal inventory production-line resets.
• Perform Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, including Quality Assurance scanning.
• Conduct Physical Inventory functions, including counting inventory.
• Assist in Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events.
• Handle merchandise carefully at all times.
• Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects.
• Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards.
• Operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment) with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and good interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
• Able to push wheeled cases weighing in excess of 300 lbs with an initial force of up to 50 lbs and a sustained force of up to 30 lbs.
• Able to stand, reach, squat, bend, and kneel as necessary to perform the job.
• Able to tolerate work in a non-air conditioned environment.
• Able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
