Part-Time Seasonal Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

Join us and help us create lifelong readers! This position involves assisting in the production and processing of book fairs, ensuring all items are packed and processed according to corporate standards.

Responsibilities

• Pack and unpack metal cases, boxes, and displays with book and non-book products, adhering to corporate process and meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing all components and sub-components for all cases, boxes, and displays.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all outbound cases, boxes, and displays.
• Process returned book fairs by unpacking and ensuring inventory levels are accurate.
• Avoid damage to merchandise and utilize equipment safely.
• Participate in inventory production-line resets and assist in various warehouse events.
• Accurately complete labor data collection cards and operate motorized pallet jacks if trained.
• Adhere to drug and alcohol policies and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment).
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read English documents.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
• Ability to push wheeled cases weighing up to 300 lbs with initial force up to 50 lbs and sustained force up to 30 lbs.
• Standing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, and tolerating non-air conditioned environments.
• Accuracy in following detailed assembly processes.
