Responsibilities

• Aid in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays with books and non-book products.
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing all components and sub-components for all cases, boxes, and displays.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards for all tasks.
• Ensure all outbound cases, boxes, and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Process returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure book fairs can be properly packed.
• Operate a basic product scanner to place orders for replenishment.
• Participate in seasonal inventory production-line resets.
• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, including Quality Assurance scanning.
• Conduct Physical Inventory functions, including counting inventory.
• Assist in Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events.
• Handle merchandise carefully and ensure all warehouse equipment and tools are used safely and efficiently.
• Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards according to company standards.
• Operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule.
• Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED certificate is preferred.
• Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment) with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and good verbal/written communication skills.
• Good math skills and ability to read documents in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and push wheeled cases.
• Ability to work in a non-air conditioned environment.
• Accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
