Part time Seasonal Production Clerks 2nd shift $17/hr

About the role

This position involves picking books and other materials from racks, packing them into boxes for shipping, and transporting materials to designated locations.

Responsibilities

• Replenish pick areas by moving boxes from pallet locations to flow racks
• Pick books and other materials from racks and pack them into boxes to ship
• Sort, lift, and stack boxes and finished products correctly onto pallets
• Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods manually and/or using hand jacks or powered industrial trucks
• Safely operate various equipment including box knives, tape guns, electronic handheld devices, RF scanners, and machinery such as conveyors, tapers, labelers, palletizers, and bailers
• Operate safely around moving equipment and conveyors
• Stand/walk on concrete floors for the duration of picking
• Read and comprehend basic order forms and communicate effectively with others
• Collect and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Load boxes onto trailers by moving them from conveyors to trailers or from pallets to trailers
• Meet or exceed departmental standards for production, quality, and accuracy
• Work in different areas (departments) based on business needs
• Adhere to facility hours, including overtime and weekends
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to lift and load up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to perform data entry

Second shift: $17.00/hour

Location

Part-time Seasonal

• Minimum weekly hours: 25 (excluding Saturday)
• Shifts: M-F 4-8 p.m., M-F 6-10 p.m. (required to work Monday through Friday)
• Saturdays are volunteer only

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift/load up to 70 lbs. Refer to Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for complete physical requirements.

Pay

Starting salary for second shift is $17.00 per hour.
