About the role
Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care following established policies and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Apply nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life by evaluating practice effectiveness.
- Build effective relationships and advocate for patients and their families to develop personalized care plans.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Consider physical, cultural, social, economic, spiritual, and personal factors in care strategies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and community to meet patient needs and set goals.
- Communicate effectively for collaborative decision-making, ensuring culturally sensitive, ethical, and compassionate care.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease management, and comfort measures.
- Mentor colleagues and foster a positive work environment.
- Apply evidence-based practice tailored to patient age and clinical needs.
- Perform point-of-care testing, adhere to safety standards, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing education.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and moving patients.
- Attention to detail and safety awareness.
