Part Time Respiratory Therapist

About the role

Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) responsible for assessing, planning, performing, and evaluating patient respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments
• Establish care plans
• Perform therapeutic modalities (e.g., aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, secretion management)
• Manage mechanical ventilation
• Provide age-specific patient and family education
• Assist with intra-hospital transport
• Respond to emergent airway management needs
• Set up and monitor non-invasive tools like pulse oximeters
• Collect arterial blood gases
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Support procedures such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy, invasive line placement, and hemodynamic measurements
• Function as shift coordinator and preceptor, contributing to team collaboration and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Valid certification (ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS)
• Ability to operate advanced respiratory equipment
