Part Time Respiratory Therapist

About the Role

Provides direct respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within hospital guidelines. Applies advanced clinical expertise, ensuring patient safety through developmentally appropriate care and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team, documents accurately, and collaborates on patient care.
• Educates patients, families, and staff on respiratory treatments and procedures, adapting to diverse learning styles.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per established standards, troubleshooting as needed.
• Supports advanced skills such as ECMO, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, sleep studies, and cardiopulmonary rehab.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior experience required; candidates close to graduation from an accredited program are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, learn continuously, and work collaboratively.
