About the role

A per-diem position in a psychiatric community home for females aged 15–17 who are referred from the State Children’s System of Care. You will serve as coach, mentor, teacher, and advocate for the youth while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a coach, mentor, teacher, and advocate for youth, providing supervision and implementing activities.
  • Maintain the program schedule, enforce rules, and ensure the safety and security of youth and the facility.
  • Complete documentation and reports according to agency policies and licensing requirements.
  • Work with youth in community and household settings, including cooking, cleaning, and homework support.
  • Supervise and ensure the care, safety, and well-being of minors.

Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of experience working with children, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience, or a degree in social work or psychology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in residential settings with adolescents.
  • Knowledge of the Children’s System of Care.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
