About the role

The Residential Coordinator for the Senior Women’s Shelter (SWS) is directly responsible for managing the facility during their shift, providing service provision for participants in the program, and assisting residents in maintaining their stay in the program. This position also helps residents obtain housing in the community upon exit.

Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate the Residential Case Manager in delivering appropriate housing stability and support services for women experiencing chronic homelessness.
  • Maintain the safety and wellbeing of all 28 residents.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility.
  • Provide life skill classes.
  • Maintain client files and program data entry/maintenance.
  • Develop expertise in mental health services and may specialize in areas such as housing, employment, legal services, benefits, or others as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent human service experience.
  • One year of direct human service experience.
  • Good organizational and planning skills; works well as part of a team.
  • Complete program credentialing process, including criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
  • Willingness to obtain first aid, automated external defibrillator, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Housing First Trauma-Informed Care, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis De-escalation, and Critical Time Intervention.
  • Expertise in mental health services.
  • Ability to maintain the safety and wellbeing of residents.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of mental health services.
  • Ability to provide life skill classes.
  • Ability to maintain client files and program data.

Pay and Schedule

Position Salary Range: $19.29 - $20.00 per hour
Hours: Fri, Sat, Sun 6pm-10pm
