Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapies, crisis intervention, assessment, and discharge planning.
  • Formulate and implement treatment strategies, ensuring timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies.
  • Adhere to agency policies, safety standards, and licensing regulations.
  • Promote understanding and implementation of the Sanctuary Model principles.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work.
  • Experience working with emotionally disturbed children/adolescents and their families, preferably in residential settings.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, family systems, and therapy modalities such as cognitive and family therapy.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, advocacy, and case management skills.
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
  • Obtain licensure in mental health counseling/psychology within two years.
  • Ability to produce accurate reports, assessments, and participate in meetings.
