Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual, family, and group therapies, crisis intervention, assessment, and discharge planning.
- Formulate and implement treatment strategies, ensuring timely documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies.
- Adhere to agency policies, safety standards, and licensing regulations.
- Promote understanding and implementation of the Sanctuary Model principles.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work.
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed children/adolescents and their families, preferably in residential settings.
- Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, family systems, and therapy modalities such as cognitive and family therapy.
- Excellent communication, assessment, advocacy, and case management skills.
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
- Obtain licensure in mental health counseling/psychology within two years.
- Ability to produce accurate reports, assessments, and participate in meetings.
