About the Role
SAFY is seeking a PRN Clinical Therapist for our Charleston, South Carolina division. As a Clinical Therapist you will be responsible for completing initial and annual assessments on youth placed in foster homes.

Responsibilities
- Complete Diagnostic Assessments as required by state rules, agency policies, and/or contract requirements. Assessments must be completed within 14 days of intake for initial assessments which requires a high level of flexibility. Annual assessments must be completed prior to the last year assessment date.
- Prepare all required clinical documentation per established time frames involving all appropriate parties as required by policy and regulations of the state/ program/ contract/ SAFY policy and COA standards.
- Be knowledgeable of foster care system and procedures.
- Competence in Medicaid billing regulations and requirements.
- Participate in the development of a client's documented treatment/service plans with the treatment team.
- Develop/Maintain consultative and liaison relationships with area caregivers and external stakeholders (e.g., schools, human services agencies, etc.) in order to cultivate work relations, provide consultative services and/or promote the coordination and development of mental health services.
- Establish mutually respectful rapport and implement interventions necessary to meet needs of client and foster parents; appropriately set limits and maintain helping role as a Mental Health practitioner.
- Be offered the ability to build a client base for individual and family therapy which can be offered in the SAFY Greenville office.
Compliance & Reporting
- Must have a computer with Windows 10 or greater.
- Required to enter assessment case notes into the SAFY system for billing and submit invoice timely (no later than 72 hours).
- Review all client files pertaining to assigned caseload as part of the quality improvement process.
- Be in compliance with monthly and quarterly requirements as defined annually by SAFY QI/CQI standards.
- Meet state required utilization standards for Mental Health services.
- Inform clients of company policies, procedures, rights and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, or other license-eligible related field of human services.
- Minimum of two years' experience in the field of mental health/therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, and families.
- LPC, LMSW, LISW required.
Skills
- Experience writing diagnostic assessments.
- Experience with trauma informed care and/or child welfare preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.
Pay
- $100.00 per completed assessment
- $25.00 training rate
- Mileage reimbursement
