Part-Time Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Job Summary Provides direct and indirect patient care in various healthcare settings, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to maintain patient dignity, autonomy, and rights while restoring health whenever possible. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritizes care effectively. Responsibilities Accurately assesses patients based on their medical condition.Administers medications as prescribed and provides age-appropriate care.Develops and evaluates patient and family teaching plans.Uses nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.Assists physicians with procedures and performs technical skills.Addresses psychosocial needs and communicates with social services for discharge planning.Practices cost-effective care and manages supplies efficiently.Prioritizes patient needs to promote safety and minimize harm.Engages in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of nursing experience.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy.Valid RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred: ACLS/PALS certifications.
