Part Time Registered Nurse - Hourly

About the role

The Registered Nurse at Chandler Flexcare Infusion is responsible for delivering safe and professional IV therapy for patients on specialty medications that treat neurological, rheumatologic, gastroenterological, and immunological disorders. This role involves preparing and administering sterile admixtures, communicating with healthcare providers, and managing clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by evaluating and documenting clinical assessments and IV therapy
• Compiles sterile admixtures for immediate use in accordance with FDA package inserts and FlexCare clinical protocols
• Communicates with physicians and other health care providers regarding clinical services
• Administers necessary medications to mitigate acute infusion reactions under the supervision of the infusion center
• Manages the clinical team by administering prescribed intravenous and subcutaneous medications and biologics
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the health care process to ensure clinical outcomes
• Ensures compliance with FlexCare policies, procedures, and clinical drug protocols
• Affirms accurate completion, submission, and filing of patient-related documentation and clinical reports
• Participates in department Quality Assurance activities as requested

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Unrestricted RN license in the state of employment
• BLS required upon hire
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration Certification, required within 90 days of hire for full-time hires
• 3+ years Infusion Therapy experience with specialty medication management
• Solid IV access skills

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Infusion therapy experience
• Ability to manage duties independently
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of IV access techniques and complications
• Proficiency in IV therapy administration and monitoring
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Pay and Schedule

The hourly pay for this role will range from $29.00 - $52.00 per hour based on full-time employment. The typical working hours are determined by each location, though shifts and hours may vary based on business needs. This role may be full-time, part-time, or PRN.
