Part-Time Registered Nurse

About the Role

The Regional Float RN provides safe, continuous, and quality patient care across multiple facilities within a market. They are part of a nursing resource team, assigned to various units to meet patient needs, working in at least three different facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree or BSN (preferred)
• At least one year of experience in a defined specialty such as Med Surg, Tele, Critical Care, ED, or Women’s Health
• Current compact nursing license in the appropriate state
• Specialty certifications (preferred)
• Additional certifications (e.g., NIH Stroke Scale, Cardiac Dysrhythmia training) required within the first months of employment
• Specialty certifications preferred within two years of hire

Skills

• Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills
• Computer literacy and ability to interpret patient care needs based on age
• Ability to complete departmental competency tests and modify care accordingly
• Additional training such as crisis intervention, fetal monitoring, breastfeeding, or specialized courses depending on the unit
