About the role

Morehead City is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Recreation Assistant. This role requires availability from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various programs for both athletics and recreation programs for all ages.
• Process customer registrations for classes and facility use and assist with maintaining attendance records.
• Receive and account for various revenues.
• Enforce rules and regulations of the Parks & Recreation Department and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Open and close various facilities.
• Inspect and maintain facilities and grounds for cleanliness and hazardous conditions; report issues to the appropriate authority for maintenance.
• Secure facilities for games, practices, and special events.
• Perform routine general maintenance, including field preparation, trash removal, and event set-up and break-down.
• Perform other tasks as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability.
• Able to work independently or in a group setting.

Pay

Starting at $17.79 an hour
