Part-Time Recovery Counselor

This position is located in Fresno, CA within the Crisis Residential Treatment Facility (24/7 Adult Inpatient) division/program.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with daily living skills, including eating, personal hygiene, grooming, and other care needs.
• Monitoring attendance and encouraging participation in activities and therapeutic programs using positive motivation and support.
• Helping lead group activities and outings, promoting positive social interaction among clients, and serving as a positive role model.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of client participation and responses in the medical record.
• Participating in treatment team meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) required. Associate degree in a social science field preferred.
• Experience: Six (6) months of direct care experience in a mental health setting preferred. (A non‑professional, consumer‑directed internship may be substituted.)
• Certifications & Licensure: Valid CPR, First Aid, and ProAct certifications are required within 30 days of employment. Valid California Driver’s License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria preferred.

Pay

Starting Compensation: 19.08 – 21.08 USD per hour.

Schedule

Working Hours/Shift: Every Friday and Saturday, AM shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
