Part-Time Receptionist (Richardson, TX)

About the role
The Receptionist will serve ARGO visitors and staff by greeting, welcoming, assisting, and directing them appropriately. Under general supervision, this role provides administrative support to the executive assistant and senior leaders, ensuring superior customer service in all interactions.
This is a part-time position scheduled for 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is eligible for medical and other benefits.
Time allocation:
- Reception Desk – 75%
- Administrative Support – 15%
- Facility Support – 10%
Responsibilities
- Reception Desk
- Operates main company switchboard, answering and routing calls, and operating the paging system.
- Demonstrates guest relations best practices when answering telephone and in-person inquiries or providing information to visitors and staff.
- Secures (locks/unlocks) main entry doors.
- Signs for and safekeeps incoming and outgoing delivery and mail items.
- Receives and delivers messages to appropriate parties, including mail, phone calls, emails, faxes, and deliveries.
- Orders catering for internal meetings and coordinates drop-off and pick-up of catered items.
- Represents ARGO with a professional corporate image.
- Administrative Support
- Assists senior management in various projects and administrative duties upon request.
- Takes notes and minutes in meetings and aids in document updates upon request.
- Provides relief, assistance, and support to ARGO staff as needed.
- Participates as a member of the Corporate Emergency Response Team, including responding to 911 calls and related activities and training.
- Assists in employee recognition programs, including ordering gifts, helping prepare gifts/awards, and maintaining inventory.
- Facility Support
- Maintains safe and clean reception and work areas by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains presentation and conference room cleanliness, providing beverages for customers and internal meetings as needed.
- Provides back-up support to Facilities with general cleaning of common areas upon request.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma (required).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a receptionist, executive assistant, or similar position.
- 2+ years of experience or proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- 3+ years of experience handling confidential information appropriately.
- Previous experience using a switchboard/company phone system.
- Proven experience with intermediate-level computer skills.
- Ability to schedule appointments and execute accurate ordering of needed items (e.g., food, supplies).
- Maintains professional corporate image and upkeep in assigned areas (e.g., customer/presentation rooms).

Schedule
This is a part-time position scheduled for 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Work Location
The position is based in Richardson, TX. Daily physical presence in the office is required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit stationary.
- Constantly operates computer keyboarding and office equipment.
